Cookie Policy

Last Updated: March 12, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how CourseFoundry Learning LLC ("CourseFoundry", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website. This Cookie Policy supplements our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle personal data more broadly.

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website or by third-party services integrated into a site. We also refer to similar technologies such as pixel tags (small code snippets that can record a page view or conversion event), local storage, and server-side event collection. In practice, these tools help a website function correctly, understand how visitors use content, and measure advertising performance when marketing consent is provided.

1) Key concepts

Cookies can be grouped by how long they remain on your device:

  • Session cookies expire when you close your browser.
  • Persistent cookies remain until they expire or you delete them via browser settings.

Cookies can also be grouped by who sets them:

  • First-party cookies are set by our website domain.
  • Third-party cookies are set by external providers (for example, analytics or advertising platforms) when those services are activated.

2) Cookie categories we use

We use three categories of cookies and similar technologies. The categories and consent model match the controls available through our cookie banner and cookie preferences panel.

A) Essential cookies (always on)

Essential cookies are required for the site to function, keep basic preferences, and maintain security. These cookies do not require consent in many jurisdictions because they are strictly necessary for providing the service you request (for example, loading pages, remembering a cookie choice, or maintaining a session state).

B) Analytics cookies (consent required)

Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors navigate our pages and where content needs improvement. When enabled, we typically use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) with privacy-focused configurations such as IP anonymization where supported. Analytics data is used in aggregate to evaluate content clarity, navigation, and performance.

If you do not opt in to analytics cookies, we will not activate GA4 and will not read analytics identifiers for measurement purposes.

C) Marketing cookies (consent required)

Marketing cookies are used to measure advertising performance and, where applicable, support remarketing and audience features (such as showing ads to people who have visited our site). When enabled, these tools may set identifiers used to attribute conversions, build aggregated reporting, and limit repeated ad exposure.

If you do not opt in to marketing cookies, we will not activate marketing tags that set or read marketing identifiers for advertising measurement and targeting.

3) Cookie table

The table below lists cookies commonly associated with our categories. Some cookies are only present when you consent to the relevant category and the related provider is activated.

Name Purpose Category Type Retention
_site_session Site session continuity Essential First-party Session
cookie_consent Stores your consent choice Essential First-party 12 months
_ga GA4 user identifier Analytics Third-party 2 years
_ga_XXXXXXXXXX GA4 session state (GA4 property identifier) Analytics Third-party 2 years
_gcl_au Google Ads conversion linker Marketing Third-party 90 days
_fbp Meta Pixel browser identifier Marketing Third-party 90 days
_fbc Meta Pixel click identifier (set when click ID is present) Marketing Third-party 90 days

4) Third-party providers

When you consent to analytics or marketing cookies, we may activate third-party services that set or read cookies and process related data. Typical providers include:

  • Google LLC (Google Analytics 4, Google Ads measurement and remarketing).
  • Meta Platforms, Inc. (Meta Pixel measurement and audience features).
  • Cloudflare (security and delivery infrastructure; may process IP-based signals to protect against abuse).

We do not permit these providers to use site data for their own independent commercial purposes. Their processing is governed by their own privacy documentation and our settings. If you wish, you can also review provider resources:

5) Managing cookie preferences

You can manage cookies in three ways:

  • On our site: use the “Manage cookie preferences” link in the footer to open the cookie controls and update your choices.
  • In your browser: block or delete cookies via browser settings. Please note that blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the site from working correctly.
  • Through provider tools: you can use opt-out mechanisms offered by major platforms, such as:

6) Changes to this Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in technology, law, or our use of cookies. When changes are material, we will post an updated version on this page with a new “Last Updated” date.
